FACTA - A Brief History

After the formation of F.A.C.T.A. in 1993, a Constitution was agreed and published which required of its Members that, through the association they would:

Foster and take part in research and technical development of fabricated access covers

Promote and maintain a high quality and performance within fabricated access covers

Promote fabricated access covers and methods of using them to the public

Co-operate with other organisations in fostering wider and correct use of fabricated covers

Co-operate and negotiate with Government departments, Public Authorities and other Corporations to inform and educate on matters relating to fabricated access covers

Consider British and European codes, regulations and legislation relating to fabricated covers and provide representation, if possible, to those bodies

Identify problems relating to the use of fabricated access covers and proposed methods of solution
